Yellow Star Hotel Gejayan

I booked two nights, and the room itself was clean and good. The staff also had a better attitude than I expected. The valet situation was another story, though, because parking was short. On the first night, money I had left inside the car went missing. The next night, someone ate my food and left the rubbish on the dashboard. Amazing!

The rooftop restaurant and bar is a lovely spot, with a great view and good food. I spent nearly a month at Yellow Star Hotel Gejayan for both work and leisure, and the people were what made the stay. I didn't catch everyone's names, but Riska in F&B was consistently warm and friendly. Everyone I met, from security and concierge to reception, housekeeping, and food and beverage, was a pleasure to deal with. They’ve made the hotel feel welcoming without any pretension 😊

The complimentary breakfast each morning was very good, and I could message the concierge on WhatsApp. They replied right away and were really helpful. My room was bright, clean, and well cared for, with light wood and white floors, walls, and linens. It was cleaned automatically every day unless I asked them not to. I also appreciated how hot the shower water was. After staying in Singapore somewhere three times the price and half as nice, my experience here at Yellow Star was a really positive one.

The location was convenient, and the place was mostly clean. I got a warm shower, and when I had WiFi trouble they sent someone to help, though the connection itself was unreliable. The bathrooms could use renovation, with rusty parts, and the sheets and towels felt old. Food was below par, with dinner better than breakfast. That hallway song, apparently AI-generated, played on a nonstop loop and made us despair. I'd stay again if I had to, but it wouldn't be my first choice.
