ASTON Solo Hotel

We went back for a second stay within a month because the room was convenient. The first time, there was blower noise, so we asked for a different room on our return, and they kindly arranged one. We also had great food experiences in Solo, since everything seems close by. Ribka, Qyrena, Vellya, and Ikma were so helpful both times, thank you. On the second visit Aston surprised us with a complimentary chocolate cake and an animal-towel decoration for a small birthday celebration. Thanks, Aston. We’ll remember this for a long time and hope to come back soon.

I was satisfied enough overall, but I have a few suggestions. My room had only a floor mat and no towels, so I had to ask housekeeping. They responded quickly and excellently, though quality control could be reviewed next time. The TV channel selection was smaller than I expected. The room itself was cool, but the corridor and main lobby felt too warm. Also, I think the kids’ play area should be moved away from the staff preparing breakfast, since it’s too close to the stove and could be dangerous.

We had an easy check-in, and staff had asked about our arrival time that morning, so our room was ready with no wait. Even with a wedding that night, there were plenty of parking spaces. The Solo hospitality was lovely, and we still enjoy traveling to Jateng. The room was clean, smelled fresh, and had fast Wi-Fi. The short sink faucet made handwashing a bit awkward. The water also left black residue under my nails, though I’m not sure why, perhaps it reacted with my skin lotion. The location was very strategic. In the same block and within walking distance, we found an old famous Chinese restaurant, a Solo traditional warung, and cafes. In the evening the hotel treated us to fish meatballs soup, which the kids loved. Breakfast had a variety of dishes; the kids liked the pizza and sushi, and the adults enjoyed wedang and hot soto. I appreciated that there were some gluten free cakes, and a young female staff member knew which foods were gluten free. I hope they can offer more gluten free options in the future. One downside was the price. We booked a superior room on a Sunday two months ahead, but it cost much more than booking on arrival or through the app closer to the date. We’d still definitely like to come back to aston solo hotel.

The hotel’s location made getting around easy. It’s right in the heart of Solo, near the Surakarta Palace, Pasar Klewer, and traditional food spots, and transportation was easy to find. I had a wonderful stay at Aston Solo Hotel, with comfortable rooms, good facilities, delicious food, and attentive service. I’d stay again on my next visit, whether for a holiday or business trip. The lobby was bright, elegant, and clean, and check-in was smooth. Staff were friendly, polite, professional, and genuinely kind. My spacious room was spotless and well designed, with a soft, cozy bed that made it easy to rest after a day exploring Solo. The complimentary drinks, tidy workspace, balcony with a beautiful city view, and clean bathroom with high-quality amenities all added to the comfort. Everything worked perfectly. Breakfast was a real pleasure, with freshly prepared local and international dishes. The restaurant was calm and relaxing, and staff checked that guests were satisfied. The swimming pool was clean and refreshing, and the compact gym had the equipment needed for a good workout.
