We meant to stay a week in Sorake and wound up staying three. Alvin and his lovely family made us feel so welcome, and he helped us with absolutely everything. The food was amazing too. Thanks for all the help and hospitality 🙏🏻

I loved the relaxed, social feel at Raffiels, especially sharing dinner with the other guests. The food was delicious, the rooms were clean, and the AC worked well. Hot showers, too. You get a perfect view of the surf, and can paddle straight back to Raffiels after surfing. Alvin and his family were kind and helpful, including with transport, day trips, or anything else I needed. My three weeks there were the best, and I'll come back whenever I'm in Nias. Can't recommend it enough!
