Keeping my passport after I’d paid for the booking made me feel very uneasy and concerned. The check-in itself was chaotic and unprofessional. When I arrived, the room was dirty: the sheets needed cleaning, and the armchair had heavy stains. The room’s condition was far below what the advertisement photos showed. This was a deeply disappointing stay that didn’t meet basic hospitality standards. I’ve attached photos and am asking for an explanation and appropriate compensation or a refund.

I booked this place because it was near a friend's reception. The reception is close to the Oyo entrance, and I was asked for an IDR 100,000 deposit upfront. I was in Room E1253 on the 12th floor. The balcony was very dirty, though it was a nice spot to enjoy the afternoon. Inside, the room smelled musty, the power was off and I had to switch it on at the meter, and there was water sitting under the refrigerator. The sheets were stained and smelled sour. While cleaning them, I found condoms underneath, possibly left because the previous owner hadn’t changed the bedding. The toilet smelled bad, probably from the drain, and the water flow was weak. The refrigerator worked but smelled bad when opened. The TV worked too. There was one towel and two soaps, but no bottled water, hangers, or trash can.
