The room was the main letdown. Its window is covered with a sticker, so you can’t tell whether it’s day or night, and the toilet is so cramped I had to walk sideways to reach the shower. I’m not sure someone plus-size could fit in there. On the plus side, the receptionist was welcoming and very helpful, and breakfast was pretty good for a budget hotel. Thanks to the chef. Great service, but a really sad room.

I stay here very often, even though I have a house in Sragen, Central Java. The staff, room service, restaurant workers, and security are all courteous, helpful, and humble. The rooms are clean, breakfast is good, and reception staff speak and behave very well. Thank you to the management. Subra, from Singapore.

The Standard room was very small. I’d planned to book a different room type, but was told there weren’t any non-smoking rooms available in that category. There was no drinking water in the room either. It was neat and fairly clean, though there’s room to improve. Breakfast had a decent range of options, and the staff were kind and helpful. The location is great, a few minutes’ walk from Soto Girin and the main road, with a few coffee shops nearby. A good option if you’re just staying a few nights in transit.
