Sunset Shade Villa

The setting is gorgeous, with birdsong through the day and views that are especially lovely at sunrise and sunset. We spent three days here on our honeymoon, our first trip to Bali, and the people looking after the place were incredibly kind. They checked in often and did their best to meet every request. We even arrived to a rose bouquet and petals on the bed, and breakfast was included, with a daily message asking what we wanted and when to bring it to our room. The villa sits among forest and rice fields, so there were very few bugs inside, though plenty outside and some could come in. The room smelled fresh and was clearly kept clean. The bathroom isn’t especially luxurious, but the photos on their social media show what to expect. There isn’t much nearby to do, so going out means taking a taxi to Ubud, roughly 30-40 minutes in the island’s heavy traffic. Still, it was a good choice for us.

A lovely place to stay near Ubud. The villa has a great view, especially at sunset, and if the rice fields in front happen to be green, the scene is even more special.

The room and the view are really lovely, so no worries there. One thing that would help is putting the villa’s name out front. At night it’s so dark that you can’t see where the entrance is.

The staff are friendly, the facilities have everything you need, and the price is affordable. But the view is what really stands out, it’s so beautiful 😍😍 I’d definitely recommend staying here 🥰
