We stayed for four weeks through Airbnb, two adults and our kids aged 6 and 3, and had a great time. This is a beautiful, unusual home with lots of space. The pool is amazing, and the kind staff do a brilliant job looking after the house and garden. It’s not a typical tourist area. We were the only foreigners in the community, which is why we chose it. Made, the host and owner, was accommodating and quick to reply online with tips and suggestions. There are a couple of supermarkets nearby and some great neighbours. A few dogs bark noisily, but what can you expect in this kind of place? If you want a real self-catering experience in a Bali community, with genuine neighbours and an incredible house full of beautiful decoration and architecture, this is the place.

It was extremely dirty and surrounded by a building site. We had no running water on the first night, and there was nobody we could contact for help. We had to knock on neighbors’ doors to ask them for help. Shameful. Avoid. I wish I could post pictures to show how dirty it was.
