Kupang Gunung Homestay Syariah near Islamic Center Surabaya

The room was filthy, the sheets were disgusting, and the bathroom was awful. We booked through Booking.com, whose photos were completely misleading, and there was no way to cancel. Even though the property is rated 9.5/10 there, it was impossible to leave a review. I can’t give it fewer than one star, though it deserves zero. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT GO THERE!

The map pin is off, and the entrance is quite small. Inside, the room wasn’t very clean, the bathroom was dirty and had no shower, and the AC wasn’t very cold. Maybe that’s what comes with the low price.

The place was full when I arrived, even though I’d booked through the app days earlier. I was upset and annoyed, of course. I’ve seen enough, though, and won’t stay at this hotel again.

If they don’t want to take Agoda bookings, they shouldn’t work with Agoda. Customers shouldn’t have to pay extra for that. My room was dirty, like nobody had cleaned it, and there was a used bar of soap still sitting in the bathroom.
