D Hans Hotel Syariah RedPartner near Wisata Religi Sunan Ampel Surabaya

We picked this hotel because my wife and I needed somewhere cheap to sleep before catching a train at 4am, after spending some of the evening exploring Surabaya. It was about 20 minutes from the train station and seemed to be 20-25 minutes from the busy shopping area. One thing to know before booking: the staff said they don't take online bookings anymore, so you may need to call or ask at the hotel for a vacant room, like in the old days. The price seemed reasonable. Our beds were comfortable, the AC was cold and worked well, and the bathroom had plenty of space. The room was a bit dirty, with more damp and wear than dust. I could turn on the TV, but couldn't find any channels connected to it. The main problem for me was the broken toilet, especially the flush mechanism. Staff also seemed short on enthusiasm and weren't very happy or welcoming. Taking the price into account, the room was okay for what we paid. It's a place to get a quick night's sleep and leave your belongings while you explore Surabaya. The beds were good enough that I slept easily. If those issues don't bother you, you could give it a try.
