Goldvitel Hotel Surbaya

The staff were so nice, always smiling and making sure guests had a pleasant stay. The location is strategic too. It took around 10mins by online transportation from surabaya gubeng station, and about 5-15 mins by grab bike / gojek to get to jalan tunjungan, pasar atom, tugu pahlawan, and other museums. If you're a backpacker, i'd recommend Goldvitel surabaya. It's one of the entertaiment hotels in surabaya, and i'll make sure to come back on another trip.

After a long delayed flight, I expected a 4 star room, but my first impression wasn’t great. The room was okay, though there was an unpleasant odor, perhaps from the bathroom or humid walls. We asked to move, but at first they sent a room boy to spray the bathroom, which made it worse. After a few exchanges, we finally got a much better room and slept better. On the second night, the hotel offered an upgrade to a cleaner, more spacious room, even better than the second one. We really appreciated their sincere apology and the effort to make us comfortable. I suggest they inspect every room thoroughly to find a solution to the sanitation problem. I also want to commend the room boy who returned my cash, which I’d accidentally left behind while moving to the second room on the first night. Honesty is the best policy!

The room was okay, with a nice view and cozy bed, and the service was good. It only needs a little maintenance. Breakfast could use more variety.

The breakfast was delicious, and the staff were polite during my business trip, especially mas Akbar. He was friendly and offered entertainment services. A nice place to stay.
