I’ve stayed here twice. It works well if you care more about where you are than about having lots of facilities. Jalan Kedungdoro is surrounded by local food stalls, including a lively night food street, and Tunjungan Plaza and Pasar Turi Station are both nearby for shopping or train travel. The hotel is clean and practical, but the facilities feel limited for a three-star place. There’s no pool, and it seems most of the space has gone to guest rooms. Bathroom ventilation also needs attention: there’s no exhaust fan, so smells can linger. That could be awkward if you’re sharing a twin room, though it may not matter much when traveling alone. If easy access to food, shopping, and transport is what you need in Surabaya, the location is a plus. People expecting more amenities or better bathroom ventilation may be disappointed.

The rooms and breakfast were okay, though I wish they had smart TVs. The highlight for me was the welcome at the restaurant from Royhan, one of the staff, who greeted me with the biggest smile.

We loved the breakfast, and you can ask them to make poached eggs. The staff were welcoming, kind, and polite, and the service was excellent. Nia especially stayed in our minds for the warmth she showed and how much she seemed to love her job and team. We’ll be back.

There are lots of local food stalls right in front, and the hotel is right in the city center. Breakfast was great, while the in-house restaurant had average prices. The staff were helpful too.

The lobby and restaurant look stylish, and the staff were friendly. We had the local beer and breakfast, both great. Good value for the money.
