Mooi Inn City Center Surabaya

Location and price were good, but the hotel needs repairs and the photos posted are out of date. The layout of things, including the GPO, felt odd. Check-in was late, and no one explained anything. I expected things to be ready and clearly explained so we wouldn't make an unnecessary or wrong decision. They offer refill water, but the hot dispenser on the ground floor was unavailable, even though each floor is supposed to have one. I booked for two adults and got one cup. When I complained, they gave me one with a broken handle, and after that they gave me sour looks. Are the towels supposed to be bath mats? You have to request cleaning. I stayed more than two nights, but they didn't clean unless asked, as if they assumed I didn't want it. They also still ask to keep your ID card, which feels like a very old practice. A damage deposit would be easier to understand and preferable.
