I found the area a bit far from the city center, and it didn't feel especially lively. I don't know Surabaya well and didn't have a vehicle, so that was my main drawback. In the suite, there also weren't any power plugs near the bed, which was a minor hassle. Still, this is a good value hotel with a lot packed in. It's an old-style place that gets the simple hospitality basics right, with a clean pool, a well-equipped gym, and an excellent sauna. The lobby even has free popcorn. The restaurant serves good food, often with a live band, and families have toys in the lobby and a pool kids can enjoy. The rooms are set up thoughtfully: a clean bathroom with a bathtub, good shampoo and soap, a fridge, boiler, and AC that all worked perfectly. There's a large wardrobe too, and the room feels spacious and practical. It offers more than many hotels charging twice as much. The karaoke room is good and fully equipped. The rooms are soundproof enough that I couldn't hear the live band from the floor below me.

The kids were thrilled to get free popcorn as a welcome snack. The pool was big enough to swim in and very clean, and I checked out the gym too, which had a full set of equipment. Our group stayed during peak season, and check-in went very smoothly, even though one room wasn't ready yet. The room was clean, the lobby was spacious, and there was plenty of parking. Service was excellent. The decor mixes vintage furniture with minimalist touches throughout. Breakfast could be better, though. An egg station and a toaster would be handy. Thanks for the stay.

Mas Lutvy made our early check-in go smoothly, and the staff were as nice and helpful as the reviews had said. We didn't get a city view, but the room got plenty of sunlight, so it wasn't a problem. It was clean, comfortable, and spacious enough. The bathroom was clean, the hot water worked well, and the AC did too. There was a nice atmosphere throughout, and breakfast tasted good. I'm a happy customer ❤

There's a pleasant park across from the hotel, right by the river, so the view is nice, though the river could use some cleaning. The main street gets crowded in the mornings and evenings. This was one of Surabaya's first hotels to offer quality service, and I loved staying here.
