Oriza Hotel Surabaya

The only real drawback for me was the small parking lot, though I think the staff will try to help with that. There’s also a cafe outside the hotel, which is a nice bonus, and the location is great if you want to head straight into the heart of the city as a tourist. I didn’t expect a small hotel in a big city to be this nice. The space is thoughtfully designed, and the room doesn’t feel cramped. Everything feels well sized, so I’d call it good value for money.

I was surprised by how good and clean this hotel was for the price, which I thought was quite cheap. The room was soooo nice, and I loved that the heater worked, since other hotels sometimes don’t provide one or have a broken one. The bed was great, with lots of pillows. Breakfast was simple but pretty tasty. It’s also near a coffee shop and an Alfamidi, so +++! I should come back.

It’s a clean budget hotel within walking distance of the railway station. I couldn’t check in early, though, and only got into my room at 2.15 pm because it wasn’t ready. I went to the dining room at 6.15 and found it closed. After a while, once a staff member saw me, I guess, they opened it. The food was fine: rice, porridge, bread, tea, coffee, and juice.

The design is good, and the place is good too. The room isn’t very big, but it’s suitable and enough for sleeping. Everything was clean, and the facilities were complete, including a varied breakfast menu. Too bad the parking area is limited.
