The service was bad, and the place was very dirty. The bathroom was disgusting, with lots of cobwebs on the ceiling, and the property was in poor condition. I didn't even dare sleep there because the sheets were awful and there was hair everywhere. The staff hadn't bothered to clean it. The TV was the only facility I could use. I moved to another hotel as soon as I stepped into the room. I didn't take photos or videos because I didn't want to capture any of it, and I thought I might throw up.

The sheets looked unwashed when I arrived, and the room sofa was scuffed and spotted.

The hallway and elevator seemed reassuring at first, maybe because the building used to be apartments. But the room hit us with a nasty, dirty smell. The walls were peeling, the floor felt sticky, and the lighting was poor. I tried to accept it for the price in Surabaya, but then I saw red marks on the dirty sheets and bedcover, with brown-looking dried stains. I wasn't sure I could sleep there. The AC was another problem. When I turned it on, something buzzed underneath. What I'd taken for a table was actually a box around the exhaust, and the exhaust heat was being brought into the room. Even though it faced outside, hot air still came in, leaving the top cold and the bottom hot. There were no towels or amenities in the bathroom, and neither of us had brought towels. My roommate wondered whether we'd even want to borrow a towel from a place like that. It was sad, but there was some truth to it. At least the water was clean and had no smell. Honestly, that was the one thing that seemed right. If the water had smelled too, I'd have packed up immediately. After we went out and came back, the smell at the door, like sewage, was even stronger than before. The AC couldn't keep up with the exhaust heat. It was 1 a.m., and I was too frazzled to think clearly, so we opened Traveloka to look for the nearest hotel that would let us check in. My roommate suggested asking the receptionist to move us because the smell was unbearable. We went down from the 5th floor and asked, still hoping there might be another room. The receptionist said a change wasn't possible because the booking was already in the system. We asked if there were rooms where the exhaust wasn't inside. She said every room of that type had the exhaust inside, and only the floor above didn't. I asked the price right away: 175,000. She showed us a room on the 11th floor, which seemed more suitable, so we went back down to confirm. Debit wasn't accepted, there was no QR code payment, and we couldn't pay in the morning because billing closed at 3:00. They needed cash. Umm...? Once that was sorted out, we felt a little relieved. The new room was more or less the same as the first, except its exhaust was outside. Thank goodness. But just as we were getting ready for bed, we heard a thud from the bathroom. My roommate's chair had fallen. Looking around, I realized it had already been knocked over and then put upright to avoid suspicion. At 2:30 AM, I was laughing and feeling sorry for myself at the same time. As we were getting ready to leave at noon, customer service banged on the door, calling out "housekeeping!" Before we could answer, she unlocked and opened it herself. We were shocked. Opening the door without permission felt rude and left us with no privacy. It made me nervous. What were they even cleaning? The room was dirty when we arrived. This is just what happened to us, and we should have read all the reviews instead of rushing to find somewhere to stay. We ended up taking a clean photo with the OYO pillow. The receptionist said they were no longer partnered with OYO, but after I left, OYO Indonesia still messaged me asking for my best review of the place. So this is the best review I can give 😁 For that price, what did I expect? Cleanliness. There's customer service, but the floors were sticky and dirty everywhere, and the place smelled. If it's OYO, why doesn't it meet OYO standards? That's it 😭

I was staying for work, and a friend booked the place for me. From the parking area, the building looked abandoned, like an unfinished apartment project that had been put to use. There were lots of motorbikes, even though there was no cafe or anything else inside to explain the activity. I assumed young people came here to stay in rooms, and I saw plenty of young couples dating when I checked in. The room was worse than the photos and videos suggested. It was disgusting and dirty, with blood and other unexplained stains, plus shoe marks on the bed. Even my boarding room is much nicer. This was one of the worst hotels I've ever been to, and I moved to another hotel that night. I hope the management and OYO read this.

I paid for a two-day-ahead booking through OYO, but when I arrived I wondered if I had the wrong place. It looked like a condominium and the parking seemed inadequate. The reception desk didn't match the photo, so I asked several times if it was Menara Rungkut Apartment. They gave me the key to room 1135. The sheets and bedcover were covered in black mold and looked unchanged, the room smelled, and the pillows were yellow. The sofa was dirty and had holes, and the bathroom was dirty too. Nothing matched the photo. I complained and was moved to room 1235, but it was much the same. It felt more like an air-conditioned warehouse than a guesthouse, and the place was really rundown. I finally found somewhere else to stay, even though I couldn't get a refund through the app.
