Reddoorz Near Mayapada Hospital Surabaya

The WiFi signal was crazy strong, and I hope someone sees this and improves the place. But the rest was really bad, and I can't recommend it. The room was dirty everywhere, including the sheets, floor, walls, and bathroom. The lobby felt stuffy and smelled of cigarettes as soon as I walked in. The AC wasn't cold even at 16°C, and the walls weren't all brick, so people outside could hear us talking inside. The TV was there but wouldn't turn on because it had no set-top box, just seemed to be for display.

I've stayed in plenty of small, old, run-down places around Surabaya, but this was the first time I had a sleepy experience. I only booked here because everywhere else was full for Christmas and New Year's Eve. The room was decent, though there was no TV, and I did get a little sleepy. Maybe they could renovate so it feels less worn and scary, and brighten the lights so the place doesn't look so dim.

The bathroom was awful, and the water kept getting shut off. Please get a manager people can trust. I only stayed because it was nearby and the other boarding houses were full. The room was stuffy and incredibly dirty, with a cigarette smell right at the entrance. The walkway was much narrower than the picture suggested. Those weren't really walls, either. I'm not trying to ruin anything, but it was really bad. The sheets were filthy, some had cigarette burns, the pillows smelled, and the towels were unusable. I felt like crying in that bathroom.

I checked in, then left again because the room was stuffy and smelled of cigarettes. The bathroom was unclean, the AC didn't cool, and the TV wouldn't turn on. The receptionist made checking out difficult. Be careful when booking here.
