The receptionist was okay, but the room smelled a bit and was really dirty under the bed. They called it a queen bed, but it was two single beds pushed together with a cover over them. Sleeping on it was very uncomfortable. I wouldn't recommend staying for long.

There's nothing fancy here, but for an older budget hostel, it's acceptable. The bed isn't the best, though I could still sleep comfortably. The location is close enough to the main street for easy access to nearby food and cafes, and Tunjungan plaza and Surabaya plaza are in the neighborhood. WiFi is good, though phone signal may disappear inside the room. There are only 2-3 TV channels. The bathroom door handle is broken, and the toilet flush button needs repair or replacement. I'd also have liked the staff to be friendlier and smile more.

The service and amenities were okay, but I didn't sleep well. The people next door were yelling and talking loudly around midnight and again early in the morning.
