Sahid Hotel Surabaya

The large room had a great city view, and I got it for a really good price. The mall and well-known spots like "hanamasa" and "depot sederhana" were just a five-minute walk away. Even "point cafe", my favorite, was close. I was very happy with the stay 😁👍🏼

The room and city view were nice, and it faced away from the train, so it was quiet. The location is good too, near the train station. The AC worked well, and there was a fridge, hot shower, and toilet paper. But the floor hadn't been cleaned when I checked in. It was covered in black hair. An older male staff member saw that I was alone and asked if I was single. I was shocked and furious. The manager dealt with it well by checking the CCTV and speaking with him, and I also confronted him so he would understand how wrong that question was. Then at 6 AM the next morning someone woke me because I was supposedly late for my excursion. It was that same older man who'd asked if I was single. With what had happened, and all the staff available, they somehow sent the worst possible person to wake me in my room.

The servers were good, and the room isn't completely old. It's also close to a shopping mall. Still, repairs went on all day and were TOO NOISY, and the train next to the hotel was noisy again. If sounds bother you, pick somewhere else. I don't understand why we had to update the card again. The key card system has a serious problem. I've never had that happen elsewhere.

The city view is really nice, and the location in the city center makes it easy to get around. The price is very affordable for that convenience, and the room has such complete facilities. This is my second stay, and I think I'll be back many more times because it's a great place.
