The location worked well for getting to UNESA campus and the airport. The rooms were excellent for their class, well prepared, and cleaned up every morning. Service was good as well. At breakfast, though, I had to wait quite a while at the omelette stall because the chef was nowhere to be found.

The staff member Ovi took great care of us at breakfast. The room was clean, the toilet was super clean too, and the view was nice. I had a great stay, and this will always be my first choice when I come to Surabaya.

Clean and neat, and better than I expected for the money on my business trip in the Surabaya area. The hotel was nice and the staff were great. Ms. Berlian at the front desk was especially helpful with my registration.

I stayed at The Alana Surabaya from December 5-7, 2025, and had a pretty good experience overall. The staff were friendly and attentive, especially at breakfast in the restaurant, and the reception and bell desk teams were good too. The Tom Yum soup with steamed rice cost IDR 118,000, but what arrived didn't feel worth that price. I expected fresh fish and squid at that cost, but there were only three shrimp, with mostly meat balls and processed ingredients. Also, the ad screens in the elevators are blurry and sometimes pixelated, so the promotions and information look poor. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and helps improve things. Thank you.
