My friend’s wedding was nearby, so I booked here to be able to walk there. The room was okay, but the spring bed was broken and sagged into the middle, so I didn’t sleep comfortably. I only stayed one night and couldn’t remember much beyond that, but I was too lazy to change hotels. Don’t expect much from the pool either. It’s basically a dipping pool in an inconvenient spot, right by the parking lot and too close to the bedrooms. Maybe they built it because a star hotel is supposed to have one, but it didn’t seem planned around guests’ comfort.

I gave it 4 stars because I went to my friend’s wedding at Ndalem Tjokrosoemartan, which is just a short walk away. The spring bed was quite comfortable, and breakfast was delicious. They gave me three fragrant towels, toiletries, three glasses and three bottles of water. Shower hot water was available, but there was no hot water ready to drink, just an empty thermos. The floor had quite a bit of dirt and hair, and the white sheet had a small blood stain. In the family room for three people, there was only one slipper and one hanger. The AC didn’t get very cold even when set to 16°C. I couldn’t use the swimming pool, and I don’t know why. There was a connecting door in family room number 206. At noon I couldn’t order food from the restaurant by phone, and when I called reception they either didn’t answer or the call wouldn’t connect properly.

The Laweyan District is a really convenient spot in Solo, and we could bring our little kids to the small pool. The place is a compact, affordable semi-motel, with parking right outside your room if you’re on the first floor.

It’s an affordable place to stay in Solo, and so far I’ve had a good stay. The security guard, Mr. Sopyan, was kind and friendly. I actually really like him.
