Nexdeco House Homestay Syariah Solo

We booked a room with a window because without one it feels like a prison cell. When we arrived, though, the woman said all the rooms with windows were full, even though Booking.com clearly showed one available. The rooms she showed us were dark, humid, and smelled bad. It seemed like they hadn’t been occupied for a while. I also found lots of black hair on the mattress and around the bed. As someone who works in cleanliness and hygiene, I could tell they hadn’t cleaned under or behind the bed. The woman came slowly to the gate while it was raining, and wasn’t friendly at all. I also had to ask for the Wi-Fi password. There was no information about anything, just a room handed over and that was it. Maybe she had health issues, I don’t know, but the customer service was far below standard. I wanted to go to the masjid for fajr, but the gate was locked. In daylight I saw there was a number to call if it was locked, but nobody had told me. And what does “Syariah” even mean here? As far as I know, the rack inside is for wine bottles. It’s a pity, because the place has potential, but the management feels very passive and unfriendly to customers.
