There’s a busy road right beside the place, so the room was pretty loud, and it was quite small. They also wouldn’t give us an extra towel, and there was no hot water. For the price, the service and room really didn’t add up. In the same area, you can get breakfast, a better room, and better service for only $10 more.

The staff were quick to help and really friendly, which made the stay feel welcoming. I liked the cozy, charming feel of this heritage-style hotel, with its café and restaurant connected to the building. I didn’t get to try the food, though. There’s no elevator, so carrying lots of luggage upstairs could be tiring, and it may be inconvenient if you have a foot injury or mobility issues.

The wooden furniture gave the room a nice feel, and there are plenty of tourist attractions and restaurants nearby. Parking was difficult to find, though, and music from the night market could still be heard until midnight. Some rooms are on the third floor, which may be hard to access since there’s no elevator.

The food was pretty average, and the service made the visit worse. My drink was noted down as tea with less ice, even though I never asked for that, so the glass came only about three-quarters full. I complained and asked for extra ice as compensation, but the waiter ignored me at first. She nodded when I explained, but apparently didn’t pass it on to the kitchen or manager, and gave no explanation.
