Hotel O Orchid House

The room had none of the facilities it was supposed to have in practice, even though they were listed as being there. It was dirty, with no hot water, no towels, and a TV that didn’t work. I was disappointed with the stay and won’t come back.

The room had a bad feel to it, and it was full of mosquitoes. The cupboard and the underside of the table were very dirty, and the wooden chair was broken. The TV didn’t work either, and there was no hot water, if it was available at all.

The staff were friendly, the AC worked, and there was no deposit. It was enough just to rest, but several things didn’t work: the TV, sink, toilet flush, shower stall, and hot water. Parking was limited, and the only amenities were 2 towels and soap. The mattress was soft, though the sheets and blanket looked stained and possibly unchanged. The location didn’t match the Google Maps listing, and booking over a long weekend can make the price 2-3 times higher.

We were put in a corner room with a small child, and it felt uncomfortable from the moment we arrived. The staff were unfriendly, which was surprising given Solo’s reputation for friendly residents, hehe. The room and toilet were dirty, like they hadn’t been cleaned, and the sheets were dirty too. The price had gone up threefold and felt unreasonable. If there’d been another option, I wouldn’t have stayed. I regret giving it 1 star, it should have been 0.
