Sala View Hotel

The hotel was quiet enough for the rest of my three-day stay, though I could hear people rumbling and thumping around me. When I got a bit loud, my sisters in the other room could hear me and messaged me to quiet down. Ants kept going after food, and I had to remove them from my snacks by the faucet. Breakfast service was good, though the options didn’t change. The rest of the service was great, and everyone else was friendly. For this price, it’s a good deal, and it could work for a week or two without costing much. The location is decent and parking is easy. It’s good and cheap, but you can see where they’ve cut costs. Check-in went well, and room 211, with twin beds, was big enough to be comfortable. The bed was already really soft, like every hotel bed should be. But one bed’s sheets had a small visible stain or dark spot on the cover, and the pillow on that bed was visibly stained under the sheets. I wouldn’t expect much at this price, but then I noticed a worrying number of ants crawling around the drinks on the desk beside the TV. They didn’t get into the beds, fortunately, but they sure got into my snacks 😞. They even seemed to be trying to steal my water.

The location is the one good thing about this hotel. At this price, you should look for somewhere with better service. Management needs to work harder to make it feel like a 4-star hotel. The parking spaces were too narrow, and the room was dusty. The glass cup hadn’t been cleaned properly. The towel smelled pungent and felt plasticky, so I bet it hadn’t been rinsed well enough to get the bleach out. The pool was tiny. The security guard directing cars was impolite and gave us foolish reasoning when he wouldn’t let us park in the spot we chose.

From the heart of Solo town, it’s easy to get to all the interesting places. Breakfast comes with both Western and local dishes, and they’re delicious. Make sure you try them.
