Nunu Bali Eco Friendly Retreat

The cabins are cozy, beautifully designed and nestled in nature, and with three pools there’s every excuse to relax. The whole place is full of picture-worthy corners. I was especially taken with the huge, lush garden and all its tropical plants. Staff were phenomenal, so welcoming that they made me feel like family. There are activities for all kinds of people, and the restaurant serves fresh, flavorful food. They even offer a free dinner each evening, which made me feel spoiled. This was the most uplifting, rejuvenating, soul-nourishing place I’ve stayed. A perfect escape, 10 out of 10!

The place was so quiet, with birds singing in the morning, fruit trees, frangipani flowers and a very friendly cat. Staff welcomed us with apple juice and were lovely. Our little wooden hut was very clean, the bed comfortable, and the outdoor bathroom was part of the charm. The pool was right outside the door, with fairy lights in the evening. Nu kitchen is just a two minute walk down the driveway, across the street.

I ended up extending twice because this place is amazing. The shared dorm felt more like a hotel than a hostel, with great service and cleaning. Good pools, fun free activities, and a beautiful setting. The staff are so polite and helpful.

The “dorm” feels cozier and more connected than other dorms I’ve stayed in. The AC can be strong, so if you’re sensitive at night, bring a scarf. Light sleepers might want earplugs and an eye mask, since the lovely nature sounds carry through. Staff are always kind, and I really appreciate the breakfast addition at Nu kitchen. I’ve stayed here a few times over the years and still love getting away from the city, with all the fruit trees and nature around. The kettlebells and outdoor fitness station are a big plus for me. I noticed a Guava tree that hadn’t been picked and harvested two fruits, but both were already worm-eaten inside 😀. Missing the ice bath 2026-2 note. Thanks for another nice stay!
