The slow, quiet setting in Tabanan, about 30 minutes from Canggu, was a big part of what we liked. Rice fields and jungle surround the place, friendly neighbors are nearby, and small warungs and Indomarets are close enough to walk to. We loved watching the sun come up over the trees and having coffee in the garden. The cicadas can get very loud at times, though. I measured around 90 dB on my phone, so if noise bothers you, earplugs or noise-cancelling headphones may help while reading or sitting outside. That’s part of being right in nature. My fiancée and I spent three months at Villa Ayuma Garden, and it came to feel like home in Bali. The house looked even better in person than in the photos: it was newly built, with spacious rooms, a large green garden and a pool that gets the morning sun. We were grateful to stay for a longer stretch instead of just a holiday. Inside are two cozy bedrooms, each with a bathroom, and one bathroom is especially large. The beds are big and very comfortable, the air conditioners worked perfectly, and everything was new when we moved in. Its classic Balinese style made the place feel warm and homely. I do creative projects and video editing, so I appreciated that Andi arranged a proper desk for me. After a little initial adjustment, the Wi-Fi was stable and very fast, much faster than I’m used to in Germany. The kitchen is open and on the small side, with limited counter space and not many cooking utensils. It worked well enough for us, but we ended up ordering food often because it’s convenient and affordable in Bali. We probably would have cooked more with a larger, closed kitchen that had all the equipment. If you plan to make elaborate meals every day, bear that in mind. Otherwise, delivery and local options are easy, including the food and very friendly people at Jala-Jala. Andi is what made Villa Ayuma Garden especially memorable for us. We first met him as a driver on an earlier trip, and good conversations over time grew into a friendship. When he said he was building the villa, things moved quickly. He sent construction photos, added a second bedroom to suit our needs, added the pool, and listened to our wishes. During our stay he helped with airport pickup, SIM cards, scooters, tours, water gallons, laundry and fresh towels. He was reliable, charged fair prices, and made us feel he cared about us as guests. The house and outdoor space stayed clean and well kept, with weekly cleaning, morning garden maintenance every day and regular pool cleaning. To us, it’s a great fit for couples and anyone wanting to experience everyday life in Bali in a quieter local area close to nature, with a lovely garden, private pool and a host with a big heart and strong local connections. We left grateful, with many good memories, and would happily recommend a longer stay. Five stars from us.

The villa is so calm and quiet. If you’re looking for a place in the Tabanan area, I’d recommend it. From morning through the evening, the atmosphere makes you feel at home 🍃

A comfortable, peaceful stay in a lovely, spacious private villa. It’s close to both the beach and Tabanan city 🙌❤️🚀

Surrounded by trees and nature, but still close to town, the beach and entertainment spots. What a great place. I’d love to come back with my family. It’s the best, and I recommend it.

Facing east, the villa has a beautiful, peaceful view every morning. The garden is large and lovely, and the pool is fairly big and clean. Inside, there are two spacious bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, so it’s very comfortable for families or small groups. The host was very friendly and helpful, and had prepared the villa well. It’s in a convenient spot, in the city and not far from Yeh Gangga Beach. The alley is also close enough to get the atmosphere and peace you’re looking for. Five stars, easy!
