Hayana Hotel

The hotel is close to the city center, with other places still fairly easy to reach. It’s new and has good facilities, including a nice pool. Breakfast was okay and the coffee was nice, while the standard rooms met expectations. Service was good, though they didn’t change the towel. One of the best hotels in Tahuna.

I stayed in an executive room, so this is just my experience with that room. The price seemed fair for what was offered. I liked that I could check in early in the morning without paying for the previous night, and check out late in the evening. The receptionist was helpful and found me a rental vehicle, and the room was quite spacious. There were a lot of things that needed attention, though. My room wasn't cleaned at all during my two-night stay, and the bathroom drain was a bit clogged and muddy. The breakfast area had lots of ants on the floor. There was only one small trash can in the room, and no telephone to call the receptionist. The sofa and table outside the room looked like they were rarely cleaned, and the balcony floor wasn't very clean either. The window wouldn't open, and there was no view from my room, even though Mount Awu and the ocean looked beautiful. The AC made a loud engine-like buzzing noise in cool mode, enough to hurt my ears. The front parking area also felt cramped. I hope they make improvements soon and can compete with the neighboring building.
