We stayed one rainy night in a private room that was quite open to the outside, almost like camping in a good way. The setting is remote, so the sounds and view are nice, but getting a grab can be difficult. The bamboo structure looks cool, but it needs renovation and felt unsafe. It wobbled as we walked on the stairs or moved around, some steps were broken, and water leaked inside in a few places. The bamboo is nailed together, and some rusty nails stick out, so flip flops are highly recommended. I’m sure it’s much better in good weather.

It’s not near anything except Ijin, but that’s part of the appeal. The stay lets you feel close to nature, with a pleasant breeze that kept things cool without AC. I also enjoyed hearing natural sounds instead of loud exhaust fumes.

A lovely, peaceful place surrounded by lush greenery. The staff were excellent, breakfast was included, the internet was stable, and having hot water at this price was a rare bonus. One thing to plan for: it isn’t close to Ijen. If you’re coming to hike the volcano, staying here doesn’t make it any more convenient than staying in Banyuwangi. I made that mistake myself.

The couple running the property were humble and very helpful, and the food was tasty and really affordable. The bamboo house was clean and calm. I especially liked showering with a view of the surrounding nature, very relaxing. A great choice for a quiet retreat.

Muzi greeted us so warmly, and his English is perfect. The place is stunning, built right into the natural surroundings. We loved our room by the river, with its wonderful atmosphere and sound. For the price and value, this was easily my favorite place to stay in Indonesia. Don’t hesitate to come.
