Barata Hotel Near Bandara Soekarno Hatta

I was disappointed by how checkout went. Check-out was at 12, but the electricity had already gone off at 11. Luckily, I was ready and only needed to go downstairs. I raised it with the receptionist, who responded unpleasantly and didn’t apologize. The price isn’t much different from the neighboring hotel, and the service is just okay. One stay here is enough for me.

I stay here often, and it’s good. The price matches what’s shown in the app. I’d just suggest changing the sheets and mopping the floor so guests feel comfortable. Clean, fresh-smelling sheets would be good for Barata Hotel’s reputation, and they shouldn’t have another hotel’s name on them. I hope the owner and manager read this. Keeping the room clean and the sheets fresh is for the customers’ comfort, and it won’t cost you anything.

The room was already a mess when I walked in. The mattress had no sheet on it, and the pillows were scattered on the table. After I changed rooms, the power token ran out at 3 AM. I’d already told the staff and customer service on WhatsApp, but nothing was done, as if they didn’t care. Worst service I’ve had at a hotel, even worse than a cheap one. Just pick another hotel, bro.

I stayed four days at Hotel Barata in the Aeropolis area. The unit and facilities are good, but upkeep inside the rooms can be lacking. On some days the sheets, pillowcases, and bed cover smelled of dust and sweat. When I moved to another room, it was clean and smelled fresh. Housekeeping just swept without mopping, and there didn’t seem to be much oversight. Some sheets were changed and others weren’t, as if cleaning just meant making things look tidy. For the first two days, I got two bottles of Cleo water daily for a 220L bottle. On days three and four, they stopped providing complimentary mineral water when I asked for more, saying the bottle price was already low. I paid daily, but got a toothbrush only on my first day and no soap until the fourth day. They said it was out of stock, and gave me the same answer when I asked for tissues. Why charge daily if the amenities are handed out so randomly? I’ve stayed in hotels my whole life and never had this happen before. The electricity token also ran out, and it took an hour to restore power. I messaged them on WhatsApp and got no response, so I had to walk down to Cafe Barata. It’s really sad, because the facilities are good, but the management is unprofessional.
