The TV's YouTube connection was the one thing I liked about RedDoorz. The rest of the room was in rough shape: the tap was broken, there were no towels, soap, or toothpaste, the sheets were dirty, and both the pillows and blankets were very thin. I only needed a brief stop to shower and lie down, and didn't want to stay long. I paid 194,000 Rupiah, a price where I could have found a better room elsewhere, and the deposit was 150,000 Rupiah. Other places ask for 100,000 Rupiah and I've still had a better room. There was only one motorcycle in the parking lot when I booked, so I wondered whether the other rooms were occupied or out of order. That was disappointing. It's crazy.

I paid 190,000 Rupiah for room 101 on the first floor, and at that price I'd look for a more decent hotel. The room was stuffy and smelly, with mosquitoes and baby cockroaches around, so I kept my shoes on and the AC running. Its corners were damaged and neglected, the bathroom door was broken, and the mattress felt damp enough that I didn't want to lie down. At least the water was clean and running. There were no tissues or toiletries, and check-in required a 150,000 Rupiah deposit. The receptionist asked for my ID, then came back asking for it about 15 minutes after I'd entered the room, as if they were holding onto it. Another irritation: after I booked in the app, a rating appeared even though I hadn't submitted one. Was it the receptionist who selected five stars? Don't trust the RedDoorz app reviews completely. A reminder to the hotel owner to run the place wisely. Even for a budget hotel, the prices feel completely unreasonable.
