The room was fresh, tidy, and surprisingly spacious, with a cute purple backlight around the TV wall. There was a small work area and a single sofa at the far end. The hotel is on Mulawarman's main street, about 300 meters from Grand Tarakan Mall, and shares the street with Swiss-Belhotel. A convenience store is on the lobby level. I liked the smart use of space in the unusual elevator layout. The two elevators aren't directly opposite or alongside each other. In the room, there were four bottles of water, which felt generous compared with the two bottles or refill jug other hotels often provide. There's a safe above the counter and a fridge below it, plus an iron and ironing board in the closet. The water heater worked, and toiletries and a hair dryer were provided.

The food was great, everything I tried was tasty and nicely prepared. The staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel was clean and comfortable, and laundry service was really convenient. Its location made getting around easy, with everything nearby, including the airport. I stayed a few nights and had a great time. I'd definitely come back.

The room was spacious and clean, and the location is very convenient. But at IDR 750 k for a superior room, it felt overpriced. Breakfast came to the room in a box, with just rice, chicken, and a banana. For that price, it really wasn't worth it.

The room itself was good, but I wouldn't recommend staying here. The bathroom had just one drain, near the closet, so taking a shower flooded the whole floor. My aglio olio with wagyu was very salty, and the beef seemed like some kind of wagyu. I had the food delivered to my room, where it came in a takeaway Tupperware. The lychee tea was disgusting.
