We liked this comfortable, low-cost sharia inn, with friendly staff and good room facilities, including hot water, TV, towels, a bed, and cleanliness. It's close to the City Square, where there are local foods, snacks, and amusement. The city square was undergoing heavy restoration, though, and our upstairs room was reached by an uncomfortable outdoor staircase that was wet in rainy season and dark at night. Still, it was wonderful for a low budget.

The good part was the fairly fast Wi-Fi and the central City location. The room was standard and small, with no bathroom sink, and the water heater didn't work well. There were also lots of mosquitoes. I arrived at 2.30 pm, but the room wasn't ready; I waited 30 minutes while they changed the sheets.

The receptionist was friendly, and the price was really cheap for the decent facilities inside: a water heater, smart Android TV, and a new air conditioner. The exterior looked old-fashioned and a bit dusty because construction was going on. It's fairly close to alun² and the train station, and hot drinking water was free. A pleasant trip, and a very recommended budget hotel in Tegal.
