The Kayon Ubud Resort

We booked a candlelight anniversary dinner at Kepitu Restaurant at The Kayon Resort, and the evening was beautiful. The setting was decorated elegantly and felt romantic and intimate. The team took care of the details with attentive, courteous service, so we could enjoy the night. The experience began when we came by to make the reservation. The staff were warm and helpful, answered all our questions patiently, and talked us through the venue choices so we could pick the right setting. Special thanks to Gomboh, who helped with the booking and looked after us so well at dinner. His hospitality made our celebration even more memorable. We’d wholeheartedly recommend Kepitu Restaurant and The Kayon Resort for a special occasion, delicious food, a lovely atmosphere, and outstanding service.

We left the Kayon Resort just a few hours ago after three nights, and already miss it. We’re moving on to a large hotel we booked earlier, but wish we could have stayed a few more days. The people were the best part. The staff were friendly and attentive without being constantly in sight, and whenever we needed something, they responded right away. Our room was excellent too, especially the comfortable bedding and the special view of the waterfall from the balcony. Breakfast was consistently good every day, and the restaurant’s waiting staff were very attentive.

The team made our stay at The Kayon Resort feel special right from check-in, when the staff were so friendly and polite. They really pay attention to guests. Everyone knows your name and preferences, which gave the place a family feeling. Thanks to duty manager Pandei for arranging a great tour to waterfalls and rice fields and an easy transfer to our next hotel. Kartawan was a professional, friendly guide and driver who made the tour unforgettable. And a big thanks to the restaurant manager for making our cocktail party memorable! The grounds were green, spotless, and beautifully kept in harmony with nature. Our room was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed. The spa was excellent, though a bit expensive, and worth it for the quality and professionalism. We really enjoyed the restaurant. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, whether from the regular menu or the special Bali 3-course menu. Breakfast came with one à la carte dish, a fruit plate, and breads, and was tasty. An option with 3-4 dishes including both sweet and savory choices would make it even better. Afternoon tea was a lovely touch, and the morning walk before breakfast was a good idea, though a short rice field walk would make it perfect. A memorable stay, and I’d happily return. The Kayon Resort felt like home during our four days there. That feeling started with the airport pickup, a great taxi ride with a lovely driver, and continued at check-in with a welcome drink, towel, and Balinese welcoming ritual. We loved starting the day with the activities, especially yoga and the rice field walk. Breakfast and high tea were free every day, and the specials kept giving the menu a fresh feel. There were so many delicious dishes that even a week wouldn’t have been enough to try them all. The food WAS amazing! The spa was amazing too, and I came out feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. Most of all, we’ll miss the staff. Everyone was so friendly and took the time to learn our names and remember what we told them. They seemed genuinely interested in us as people, and made us feel like part of their home and family rather than visitors or customers. They really went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Thank you for an amazing experience, Kayon Resort. I can’t wait to come back!
