The Tiing Tejakula Villas

A big, beautiful villa with a private pool, ocean views, lovely architecture, sunshine, and the sound of waves and birds. The staff were genuinely kind, and the whole place was quiet and peaceful. It deserves five stars, even at a three star price, and I’d rate it 100 out of 10. The location is far from Bali’s tourist center, so expect no taxis and no activities beyond enjoying nature unless you arrange them with locals or the hotel. That’s how it is in places around Bali outside the tourist hubs. Plan for the kind of holiday you want, and this place is absolutely worth visiting. Thank you, the Tiing.

We traveled four hours from Denpasar, so it was disappointing to find that the room we got had no ocean view and didn’t match the photos or what we expected. We’d booked an ocean-view room. Staff said they would find a replacement because we were the first guests to check in that day, but after an hour there was still no update and our bags hadn’t been brought to the room. When we went back to the front office, the staff had changed shifts. We were apparently meant to get another ocean-view room, but the previous shift hadn’t passed that along. I hope management improves communication and customer service so other guests don’t run into this.

I’ll definitely visit again. It’s so quiet, and waking up to the sound of waves is priceless. The room was spacious, beautiful, clean, and looked brand new. The staff were always friendly and ready to help, with service at the highest level. A true hidden gem of Bali ❤️

This was our last stay at The Tiing. We’ve been coming for a while to relax, but this time was awful. We rented two NMax scooters for two days and one broke down, with the engine light on. A village local checked it and said it wouldn’t start because of an engine problem. I told reception more than eight times, yet they still tried to charge us for the unusable scooter and wasted 45 minutes of our time. We’ve never had a problem with the food at The Tiing Restaurant before, but this time contaminated food left us vomiting in our room for a day and a half. The reception team seemed selfish and uncaring toward customers. For the price, we don’t recommend staying here. Lovina Beach is a better choice if you want to be treated better. Not worth it.
