Aloka Bahari Villas

Wayan and Budi make me feel at home, and the warung food is great and very affordable. I’ve stayed at Aloka Bahari four times this year and keep coming back because it has everything for a great holiday. It’s right on the ocean, with beautiful, well-kept gardens, comfortable villas and the largest pool I’ve seen at a villa. The beds are so comfortable, probably the best I’ve slept in. I always look forward to returning.

We spent the December holidays at Aloka Bahari Villas and arrived on Christmas Eve, when they had a special dinner. Owner Wayan had even arranged fun little gifts for each guest, a lovely touch. The grounds were lovely, and all the staff were great. We had breakfast and dinner at the restaurant every day, and every meal was excellent, though the villas also have kitchens if you want to cook. The villas were clean, spacious and well kept, and having a private pool meant we could take a dip whenever we liked. Wayan was very responsive across different ways of getting in touch and arranged drivers and massages for us. Highly recommended if you want a quieter part of Bali.

Snorkelling right off the beach was a highlight. The resort’s own reef had coral, bright fish and starfish, and the food was top quality. Try the Balinese breakfast, and don’t worry about waiting for freshly cooked meals, it’s worth it. From the moment we arrived, we felt safe and looked after. Wayan and her family are such welcoming, helpful hosts and can arrange motorcycles, drivers and transport, boat trips, massages, beauty treatments and yoga. Beautiful villas, a stunning compound and wonderful hospitality made this a place that stands out, however much you’ve travelled. Welcome to paradise!

The sea-facing tables at the edge of the restaurant terrace made for a lovely evening, and the food was good and reasonably priced. The gardens and villa were beautifully maintained. I stayed two nights in a two-bedroom villa with a private pool and enjoyed it a lot. The bedrooms and attached bathrooms were spacious, comfortable and furnished to a very high standard. There’s a full kitchen too, so it would work well for a family. Very good value and highly recommended.
