Alex Villas Complex N1

We arrived at 3:40pm for a 3pm check-in and found staff still cleaning the villa. They asked for another 20 minutes, told us we could leave our luggage inside, and said they'd lock up once they were done. When we returned after 10pm, the main door handle felt loose and was difficult to lock. Around 12:30am, after we'd showered and were about to sleep, my husband and I heard a man's voice outside our bedroom. My husband opened the door and found a tall Caucasian man there with his shirt unbuttoned. The man asked why my husband was in his villa; my husband said it was ours and asked how he'd got in. I locked our bedroom door while my husband followed him downstairs. We then learned that security had used a master key to let the man in, even though he seemed a bit high. We couldn't reach the person in charge. Security called it a miscommunication, but they should have checked with the person in charge or matched the guest's name before letting someone into the wrong villa. This left us awake and worried about our safety. Our boy had just finished bathing and came downstairs after hearing the voices. We checked the sliding doors to the pool and found three unlocked, despite the cleaning staff telling us they would lock up before leaving. We've stayed in many other villas on trips to Bali and never had anything like this happen. There were no toiletries such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, a shower cap, or cotton buds either. We could reach the people in charge at other places, but this one was uncontactable. We booked through flight centre and will write to them about this serious guest safety issue.

Communication was a mess from beginning to end. They wouldn't take responsibility for their mistakes and tried to shift the blame onto me, which felt misleading and unprofessional. I had a confirmed booking at an agreed rate, then they changed the price afterward without explaining it. The reservation process felt unreliable and dangerously close to a scam. I've travelled seriously for years and stayed in countless hotels around the world, but I've never experienced anything like this. The whole approach felt careless and deceptive. I'm also skeptical of their glowing Google reviews, as most of them appear fake and seem written to hide how bad the real experience is. Book at your own risk.

We booked four nights for my family and baby, and regretted it straight away. In Villa 5, the bedroom faces the main road and was extremely noisy. The first day brought flooding in the service area, a broken bedroom door lock, and an upstairs AC that didn't work. After several attempts, none of it was properly fixed. On day two there was no hot water, two showers had no running water, and the AC problem continued. After we spent a night without water, they still refused a full refund and offered only two nights back. Cleanliness was 2 out of 5. Terrible service, no accountability or empathy. Save yourself the hassle and avoid this place.

The staff made the stay especially memorable, helping with transportation and suggesting local attractions and places to eat. They went well beyond what we expected. We had plenty of space to unwind in the spacious living areas and well-appointed bedrooms, and the private pool and outdoor lounge were great for enjoying the weather. Alex Villa Complex N1 welcomed us with a calm, luxurious feel from the moment we arrived. The villa's design, modern amenities, and stylish decor made a lovely setting for our vacation. It was an unforgettable mix of comfort, luxury, and personal service. We can't wait to come back!
