It was a nice place, with a pool, two floors and a wide balcony. The road in is a little narrow and only really fits a motorbike. A TV in the room would make it better.

The staff were friendly, but I don't think this room is worth 5.5mil a month. It's small, with a little broken wardrobe that can't hold enough, and the ventilation isn't good so the room doesn't get fresh air. The owner should do more maintenance to make that price worthwhile. Also, someone stole food I kept in the kitchen more than five times, and staff couldn't do anything about it. That was awful.
A quiet setting beside a stream and rice fields, with cafes and restaurants on Pantai Berewa just a short walk away. The place is cheap, and the blackout curtains are good. Those were the positives. The rest was awful, the worst accommodation I've stayed at in Bali. There was black mold in my bathroom and an unpleasant smell in the room. I looked at another empty room too, and it had a strong damp, musty odor and mold on the bathroom ceiling. The towel was rolled up neatly, but had a 5cm hole in it. Ants were everywhere, thousands behind the wall tiles next to the bed and more around the sink. The shower and toilet were filthy, clearly not cleaned before I checked in. The room door was very fiddly and didn't feel secure even when locked. There was no bedside table or soap, and the glass sliding door had no netting, so people walking past could see inside. Power went out several times at night for hours, leaving me without light and unable to charge devices. I called and messaged the host to ask what was going on and how long it would last, but got no reply, even the next day. The wardrobe had a lock but no key. A cat cried outside my room late at night. One fridge was broken, leaving the other fridge/freezer packed with everyone's food, and the kitchen utensils were filthy with black stuff. When I complained, the host just said, “this is a traditional guesthouse”.
The location is lovely beside a beautiful rice field, though you can't see it from the rooms. Getting to the guesthouse by car isn't convenient. There isn't much sun, so things take a long time to dry and start smelling musty. The rooms and kitchen were dirty. The staff are friendly, but very noisy when they get up, especially in the morning. It's loud then, too.
The main issue during my month at Dados Guest House was the smell from the toilet. It spread through the room even with the door shut, and there was also an unpleasant smell from mold on the ceiling, which seemed related to poor ventilation. The sewage system had problems too, so that really needs attention. The rooms themselves are small but clean and cozy, and the staff were polite and helpful. The grounds are compact but kept tidy; the pool is small and deep, a nice place to cool off. I also liked having a properly equipped kitchen. You can reach the beach by bike in about 10 minutes, with lots of restaurants and bars nearby, and the rice fields make the location lovely. I’d consider it for a short stay, but anyone sensitive to odors or allergic to mold might want somewhere else.
