Escotel Tempekan Canggu

The bed was comfortable, and we had a pool-view room booked through Traveloka. The window was transparent from both sides, and although there was no breakfast, we could use the communal kitchen for free. There’s nowhere easy to park a car, but motorbike parking was enough. The pool was nice, though too shallow for me. A screen near the entrance could help keep people on the road from looking straight in. The rooms offer good privacy, but you can still hear through the walls, including the next-door bathroom. That toilet seems to have been open-air before it was covered with a transparent roof. There didn’t seem to be a hanger or wardrobe in the room. We also spotted a bug in the toilet on our last day and found bug spray, though a B or H brand might work better on the brown toilet bug. This escotel has a lot of potential and is worth considering if you spend much of your time out around Canggu.

The rooms were fairly clean and the pool was very clean too, especially for such a low price. The location is good, near canggu. The bathroom’s warm water wouldn’t come on, and sound carries between the rooms, so you can hear next door.

Good value, though the AC struggled to cool the room during the day. I’d picked a room with a pool and direct sunlight, which may have made it harder.

A home away from home. It’s a great budget spot with a distinctive design and everything you need for a comfortable longer stay. Really nice vibe.
