Kalapa Resort and Yoga retreat

For the price, it was a great stay overall. The facilities were generally good, and the staff were very kind and took care of most requests, always with a smile. I found myself saying thank you all the time. The bedding wasn’t changed very often, though, and there were a lot of insects in our room. My wife got at least 10 bites inside the house. Some pest control would be welcome, though I can see that might be difficult when the place is made to feel like a little jungle in the city.

For the price, it’s a pretty decent place, and the staff are friendly. The pool needs more regular maintenance, and towels should be changed more often. Some of the pool beds had stains, which made them a bit uncomfortable to use.

The villas have a lot of traditional Balinese charm and feel private and cozy. They’re nice, though perhaps a little dated, and the price feels more than fair for what you get. The resort is small and intimate, so it stays peaceful and personal, with no crowds or rush. We’ve stayed at Kalapa Resort several times, and each visit feels like coming home. The staff are a big part of why we return. They’re kind, welcoming, always smiling, ready to help, and genuinely caring. My wife and I loved every moment of our stay at Kalapa Resort. The yard was beautiful, and we enjoyed the yoga and swimming. The staff were friendly and helped with everything we needed.
