Kampung Canggu

I’m really happy here. I booked for a long time, and it feels like home. I’d book again: it’s good value, the atmosphere is friendly, and you can meet people from around the world. I also liked being able to cook in the kitchen, and the pool area and view are nice. I stayed in the shared room, which has no air conditioning. That suited me since I find hostels with AC running cold all day and night hard to deal with. I did see some dogs around the pool, though I don’t know if they live there or come from the neighborhood. One issue: some guests talked and laughed loudly in the lobby near the rooms at night, disturbing people who were sleeping.

The dorm was really hot, the toilet was very dirty, and the water supply was slow. The staff were noisy too. Don’t stay here if you want a peaceful night’s sleep.

I had a great time at this hostel. The atmosphere is really good, and it’s in a quiet area that’s still not too far from Canggu’s main beach clubs. I had a private room with air con and a very comfortable bed. The staff were really nice and attentive, although their English isn’t the best.

The road to the hostel is in bad shape, and there’s a lot of noise from both local people and guests. The dorm is open, so you hear people on the phone, couples talking, and humming, and smoke from outside drifts in. A private room would probably be a better choice if you can afford one. If you don’t mind a noisy, less peaceful atmosphere, then it may be okay. The view is the best thing about this place, especially in the morning.
