Pudi Homestay

After a short trip somewhere else, I went back to rent another bike. Dino had told me it would cost the same as the first one I rented, but when I returned they acted as if they didn't understand and tried to change the price. I found that untrustworthy and wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

We were here for a week and found it good value for what we paid. The bed and linen were great, the pool was clean, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was cheap, tasty, and available as a service. Our balcony room also came with the whole floor to ourselves. There are quite a few drawbacks. The shower had a bad water smell, and traffic noise came from the road. There are lots of stairs and no lift, and the nearby streets are narrow with no footpath. A Mosque close by plays a loud prayer at 4am every morning, which woke us up. We also had a stressful check-in because reception didn't have all the details of our booking and asked us to prove we'd paid. That was difficult through Wotif, since the receipt bundled our flight and accommodation together. About an hour later, the girl at the front desk was satisfied that we were paid up. I'd recommend the place if you're on a budget.

I booked a room for a week, but left the hotel in shock on the fifth day. The first night I was bitten by bedbugs and fleas, and trying to get my money back turned out to be impossible. By the third day I started getting scabies, and it was worse the next day. Then the shower water stopped on day four, and the staff were negligent and didn't fix it. I wouldn't stay here, even for a day, if you value your health and life.

I stayed for a month in March. The staff were super nice, and it's close to a lot of things, but the price felt very high for a room without a real window. The only window faced the hall, which you can't use. Being so close to the road meant traffic and barking dogs made it impossible to sleep.
