Puri Kaja House

After a month at Puri Kaja House, I was sorry to leave. The people there made it feel like a small sanctuary, and before long it really felt like home. I’ve stayed in plenty of guesthouses, and this was one of my best experiences around Canggu. A couple of minor snags came up early on, as can happen during a longer stay, but the team sorted them out quickly and kindly. They were attentive throughout. The rooms and shared spaces were spotless, with housekeeping every other day. You can tell they take real care of the place, which made staying for a month comfortable.

I’ve stayed at Puri Kaja House twice now, including this recent 45-day visit, and it felt like home in Bali again. My room was quiet, comfortable, and kept in good shape. The staff were kind and attentive throughout. Thanks for another lovely stay, I’m already keen to return.

The wet, slippery floors at the reception entrance and on the stairs need attention. With Canggu’s frequent rain, I slipped and fell on the stairs several times during my stay. That’s a serious safety concern for guests. I raised it more than once with reception staff and other employees, but nothing was done. I strongly urge management to act quickly, perhaps by adding anti-slip surfaces, mats, or warning signs. Anyone considering a stay should keep this in mind.

The staff were lovely and helpful, and the WA admins answered my questions quickly. I also enjoyed a swim in the clean, sunny pool, which stays nice and warm. I spent two nights at Puri Kaja House and slept well with the natural green sounds around me. The room was very clean and comfortable, the bathroom was spacious, and hot water was always available. There’s a shared kitchen guests can use anytime. I’d happily stay here again ❤️
