I’ve been a customer for about five years and never had food this poor from them before. I ordered nasi campur bali and five chicken sata through Grab. The sate was basically cut-up chicken, and the peanut sauce had spread over the inside and outside of the packet because they hadn’t put it in any kind of container. There wasn’t even a little banana-leaf tray at the bottom, and much of the sauce had leaked out between the two pieces of banana leaf. All I got was dry chicken on a stick. The nasi campur wasn’t much better. It feels like the kitchen has stopped caring.

The food and service were fantastic, but the room was a huge problem. There was so much mold, with black, brown, and green stains everywhere, and the smell was terrible. I couldn’t stay in there for even five minutes. I asked for another room, but it was the same, so I decided not to stay. There was also a lot of wastewater running out on the driveway with a very bad smell. I don’t usually leave comments, good or bad, but I felt I should let people know, especially anyone with breathing problems or allergies.

The chicken arrived cold, and two extra satay portions we ordered were missing. The corn fritter was so overcooked it was barely recognizable. The servings were tiny, even for a small Indonesian appetite, so we had to order more from another restaurant. I wouldn’t choose this if you’re hungry.

We’ve only tried Sendasa Café through Gojek, but it’s already become one of our regular Berawa picks. Every delivery has been consistently delicious, with straightforward food that doesn’t need frills. The prices are very reasonable, especially given the packaging: natural, biodegradable, compostable materials, and it feels award-worthy from an environmental point of view. Opening each order is a treat, and the staff pack everything so carefully that it always arrives intact. My friend often gets “Bule(Westerner) Belly” from other places, but hasn’t had that problem here. We’ll keep ordering. Matur Suksma!
