Sunny Cuddles

The cats were my favourite part. There were lots of sweet, healthy-looking ones roaming around, peaceful and quietly happy. I know Bali has many strays, and I hope the three or more pregnant cats here can be fixed in future. Vets and shelters do it for free, as far as I know, and it would help their health and control the population. The apartment itself is huge, beautifully decorated, new, clean, and spacious, with a high ceiling, an equipped kitchen, and a sturdy desk for working. Every staff member we met or spoke to was friendly and professional. The location is great too, about a 10-minute walk from the beach and shops. There are many houses in the area, but the sound is cancelled out, so it’s quiet. Wow, this was definitely my best stay in Bali!

We really liked the service, even though the water was inconsistent on some days. The road to the villa is uncovered and very bumpy, but the staff more than made up for it.

I picked Sunny Cuddles after weeks of searching for somewhere to stay in Bali, and it turned out to look just like the photos. The high ceilings, carefully chosen furniture, and layout made it feel like the place I’d hoped it would be. I spent the hot middle of the day stretched out on the soft couch, watching videos in the sunlight from the floor-to-ceiling windows. The king-size bed was comfortable, and the air conditioning worked really well. It’s a nice spot to unwind, have friends over, or enjoy a romantic stay. A few practical things: the long shared pool is on the property and looks great in photos. Laundry is available there too, but allow 24 hours. Check in at the separate registration office first to get your keys. They ask for a security deposit, returned at checkout, either in cash or as collateral such as a driver’s license. The upstairs space has only the bed and a table, and the wooden stairs can be slippery in socks or slippers. Also, the single-occupancy villa doesn’t come with a private pool or an outdoor bathtub, or any bathtub. Those are only in the double-occupancy villas. If I’m back in Bali and Canggu, I’d consider staying here again. It had what I wanted in a good location.

The villa was lovely and really spacious, and the shared pool area was especially nice. You can hear a lot from the neighboring villas since there’s no soundproofing, though it didn’t bother us and we had a great stay.
