The Dukuh Retreat

The little hut and its terrace were lovely, with a fridge, safe and hairdryer, and everyone made me feel welcome and cared for. My stay at The Dukuh Retreat was a wonderful, unique experience, though much too short. The host explained Balinese traditions and customs and invited me to a traditional village festival. With support from him and his wife, I also took part in a purification ceremony. It was one of the most extraordinary and authentic experiences I've had while travelling. I even got to make my own temple offerings. The other staff were friendly and dedicated to making my stay memorable. The yoga and massage sessions rounded out a truly relaxing visit. A big thank you to everyone there.

The room was spacious and clean, with AC, a fridge, a lovely ensuite bathroom and at least one balcony. The grounds were beautiful and well kept, with a lovely pool and garden. The staff were AMAZING, and what you get for the price feels almost too good to be true. Every day I had yoga in the morning, three marvellous meals, an afternoon activity and an excellent massage. The Dukuh was everything and more, and booking it was the best decision I made. I loved it so much. If I could add more stars, I would. Don't overthink it, just book!

I spent four days on the retreat as a solo traveler, trying some really interesting activities, doing yoga and fully relaxing. The location is beautiful and peaceful, the food is fresh and local, and the hosts are kind and make you feel at home. The staff are so warm and friendly. I'd recommend the Dukuh Retreat to everyone and hope to return.

Wayan and his lovely wife, along with their amazing staff, made our stay the best experience we had in Bali. We felt transported back in time in this little piece of paradise and got to experience real Bali alongside wonderful local people. They were sincere, friendly and helpful. I had a small health issue, and they did their best to help me feel better. They even took me to the doctor and prepared special food. The homemade traditional food from the lovely cook was amazing too. I won't go into more detail because this place is worth visiting. Ten out of ten, and we're definitely going back!
