Noken Timika Hotel

The place didn’t look like the pictures. My room was dirty and damp, and anyone with a very sensitive nose would have a hard time there. I tried a room on the first floor and kept sneezing. They offered me one upstairs, saying it got more sunlight, and it was better but not much different. I had to keep a mask over my nose and mouth from the start until I checked out the next day. Even sleeping with it on, I started sneezing again as soon as I took it off. We’d booked two nights, but I asked the hotel to refund the second because my sensitive nose couldn’t take staying there any longer. The mosquitoes were terrible too. I saw more than 10 flying around and couldn’t catch or kill them. I was afraid they might be malaria mosquitoes, though I’m not sure what type they were.
