The owner was a nice guy, but the hospitality still has a long way to go before I'd recommend this place to any kind of traveler. After I complained four times about the hot water, he acted like providing the service advertised was some big favor. You can't count on getting hot water consistently. Getting to Bromo isn't as convenient as it sounds unless you take a tour, and those tours cost far more than they should for this location. The town is inconvenient too, so I'd stay closer. Transport prices can be a ripoff: they wanted 600,000 Rupiah for a nearby car trip. We're not in New York City, and it felt like a tourist was being taken advantage of. They only take cash, which makes me wonder if they're paying taxes. The warm room and fairly clean conditions were about the only positives, and those two things weren't enough to outweigh the rest.

The host was extremely helpful, and there aren't any restrictions at the place. It's a great spot for an easy trip to Bromo, and you can get a good night's sleep before the early morning.

The owner was nice, and the room was clean. It's small, but the bathroom has everything you need. Bromo is a reasonable distance away, and he can set up tours. I'd recommend just doing the sunrise and Bromo Tour, the Whispering fields and Savannah didn't add any value.

The rooms are cozy and clean, and Deddy is a great host, helpful and funny. He even has a band.

I was able to get to bed early and wake up at 1 am. The room isn't soundproof, but that was fine for me and didn't cause a big problem.
