The cabin looks modern, the Wi-Fi is fast, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and quick to respond. The weather is cool and refreshing, and the area is beautiful for photos and social media. Be prepared for a less peaceful stay than you might expect. The wooden cabins have little sound insulation, and nearby public villas play very loud open-air karaoke. Regular people sing until around 11-12ish pm, then start again from 6 am. At night it’s soft rock and pop, and in the morning dangdutzzz. Hihi. The hot water doesn’t last long. The water comes straight from the mountain and is very cold, and the heater capacity isn’t enough for the place, so don’t count on a comfortable hot shower. You can get your own fireplace from Bobocabin for 35000 idr, which is very cheap. But smoke from a neighbour’s bonfire can blow toward your cabin and seep in through cracks and gaps because it isn’t well insulated. The staff were responsive, though, and quickly brought us medical masks.

It’s a cold, back-to-nature kind of place, with a reasonable number of bugs around. Nights are quiet, and in the morning you can hear lots of birds singing. The food is good with plenty of choices, though a little pricey.

A lovely break from the busy city. The road there isn’t as smooth as in other tourist areas, but the place is worth the trip. Check-in and room controls are handled through the “bobobox” app, so download it before you go. For meals, room service is a decent choice. There are a few vendors nearby, but I wouldn’t recommend them.

We had fun with everything. A doormat would help, though. Indonesians wear sandals everywhere, and when it’s drizzling they track dirt into the room.
