We spent most of our time in town instead of relaxing at the villa, and I definitely won’t stay with Grun again. Inside, the villa was comfortable, aesthetically pleasing, and well built, but the problems ruined the stay. Check-in was confusing, and we couldn’t get hold of anyone. The website also doesn’t say that the studio is off the property. The studio had ants and other insects everywhere, including on our bags, bed, and tables, and there were dead bugs in the fridge. They came to spray and sweep after we reported it, but that should have been done before we arrived. The insects returned within four hours. They had promised an engagement setup as a surprise for my fiancée, but it was missed, and there wasn’t enough time for me to arrange anything else. The private pool was extremely dirty, and there was no privacy at all. Spend your money elsewhere.

Waking up to the rice field view each morning felt magical. I spent my honeymoon here, and the villa was just right for a peaceful, cozy stay with someone I love. It was spacious, full of natural light, and had a private pool that was perfect for unwinding. The whole atmosphere felt calm and intimate. Such a beautiful place, and I’d definitely come back! 🌿✨

By my third night, I was short on sleep. There was so much noise: bikes, barking dogs, roosters, and neighbours yelling and screaming. The curtains didn’t block the sun, and there aren’t any marts nearby, so I wouldn’t recommend this if you want peace. The rooms had everything I needed, and the staff were efficient and professional. I don’t need a TV since I can watch videos on my phone.

The shower, housekeeping, and Wi-Fi were the good parts. Still, I left exhausted and deflated. It’s very remote, with no parking, and there’s no TV, indoor cooking, or microwave. The humidity was impossible to control, so everything felt damp. Nearby cafe delivery options are basic, and the portions are snack-sized. Noise was constant, day and night: barking dogs from neighbours, roosters, and horns. It felt like sleeping in a tent. It’s a good concept, but it didn’t work in practice for a stay where you want peace and rest.
