Sutan Raja Villa Amurang

The setting is peaceful, with a wide parking area and a swimming pool. The rooms and grounds could make this a great place to stay, but they’re not well maintained. I’ve been here for a couple of nights, and it would be excellent with better upkeep.

It’s quiet here, probably with only 1 to 2 visits/month, and I hope the place improves and can survive with so few visitors. The price is fairly cheap, and the interior is still in good shape. The TV turns on, though it only works under some conditions, and the AC was good. The room felt dirty to me, and there’s no soap or shampoo, so bring your own. I don’t know how many times a week they change the swimming pool water.

There’s a big swimming pool, and the service was nice. One small thing, there’s no phone in any room. I asked the receptionist, and they confirmed it. My upstairs room had a Manado sea view. The room was big, with a clean kitchen, a big bathroom, and a big-screen TV. The antenna had a little problem, but I complained and they fixed it politely. Still 4 stars.

Taking a stroll along the seaside gives you all the energy you need. It’s a cozy, quiet place with good room facilities, but there’s no proper restaurant, maybe because occupancy is low.
